Vulpia is a nation of foxes, for foxes, by foxes. This basic principle has guided Vulpia from its humble beginnings as a place for like-minded foxes to be unified into a single state for their mutual benefit. Though all foxes are created equal, His Slyness and Majesty, the Right and Honorable, the Victor of Foxkind, the First King and Regent of the Kingdom of Vulpia, Reynard the Sly is certainly one of the greatest foxes to have ever walked the earth—Vulpia is, after all, his brainchild. In fighting his ferocious oppressors, he realized that all of the blood and tears foxkind had had to shed up to that point could have been saved if there were a government dedicated to their protection. Therefore, in the year of our Slyness zero he founded the great Kingdom of Vulpia under his benevolent command. It is only with his guiding paw that foxes have been able to make it to where they are today.

Though Vulpia has a strong central government, its borders are undefined. This is primarily due to this clause ingrained into our constitution: “The borders of this most sly nation shall be wherever any fox set down his paw and wherever any vixen nurse her cubs.” Many claim this is the reason Vulpia has failed to gain any sort of international recognition, though the true reasons for this are malicious: a secret society is actually running the scenes behind most major world governments. Despite its questionable borders, Vulpia continues to protect foxes around the globe within its far-flung dominion.
